Season 3 Reloaded has made Black Ops 7 Endgame feel a lot less calm, especially with Operation Broken Mirror pushing everyone toward the Virus Injection Glitch. Before you get anywhere near that boss fight, though, the Shifters in the Mist mission can slow you right down. Some players use a cheap CoD BO7 Bot Lobby to take the edge off the grind, but if you're doing it the normal way, Deep Cover Activities are the bit that usually causes the most swearing. They're not marked like normal contracts, and the game barely explains what you're meant to be looking for.
Finding the yellow zones
The first thing to know is simple: Deep Cover doesn't get its own neat icon on the Tac Map. You're watching for small yellow activity circles instead. They can be easy to miss, especially when the map's already full of noise. I've had the best luck checking the stretch between Trinity Stadium and the Winery, mostly inside or around the Tier III area. It's rough out there, so don't wander in with a weak weapon and a hopeful attitude. You'll get folded fast.
Forcing the activity to appear
If no yellow zones are showing, don't assume the mission is broken. It's just being awkward. Run a Toxic Chase Activity first, then check your map again. Quite often, that seems to nudge a Deep Cover zone into spawning. If it still doesn't show, clear another one or move around nearby for a minute. It's not instant every time. That's the annoying part. But once you understand the spawn rhythm, you stop wasting ten minutes staring at the map like it owes you money.
Spotting the hidden Shifter
Once you're inside the yellow zone, slow down a bit. You're hunting a prop, not a glowing enemy marker. It might be a box, a chair, a medical cart, or some bit of junk that looks almost normal. The sound is the giveaway. Stand still and listen for a dry rattling noise, like something's shifting around where it shouldn't be. Get too close and the object will snap into a Shifter. If the zone is inside a building, you may get lucky and have it reveal itself as soon as you step through the doorway.
Dropping Shifters without wasting ammo
Shifters fight a lot like Mimics, so don't spray at their whole body unless you've got ammo to burn. Aim for the glowing mouth. That's where the damage really counts. A Pack-a-Punched Tier III-ready weapon makes this much cleaner, and decoys or field upgrades can buy you breathing room when the area gets crowded. You need four Shifter kills for this objective, so treat each zone like a quick hit-and-run job. As a professional platform for buying game currency or items, RSVSR is built for convenience, and you can buy rsvsr Bot Lobby BO7 if you want a smoother setup before pushing deeper into the Endgame grind.
